Connecting Through Loss. Holding Grief. Allowing Joy.

Hello!

I am glad you are here seeking support during your time of grief.

Long before I earned my certification as a trauma-informed grief coach, I was someone learning to navigate my own losses. Goodness knows, the universe has given me plenty of experience with grief!

My losses have shaped the person I am today.

My losses have led me to you.

Grief follows so many different kinds of loss. The loss of a loved one. A divorce. A job. Your sense of identity after your children leave home. The future you imagined when someone you love becomes terminally ill. A miscarriage. Dreams that suddenly change. The list is much longer than most people realize.

None of us make it through life without experiencing loss. And in our grief, we often discover something unexpected, we find our connection to one another.

Grief isn't a problem to be solved. It's something we learn to carry as we adjust to the life that exists after loss.

When I created Our Grief Connection, I wasn't trying to build another program that teaches people how to "move on." I don't believe that's how grief works, nor do I believe that time heals all wounds.

Healing comes from being seen and heard. From being supported. From learning how to carry the weight of the pain from what we've lost without letting it define the rest of our lives.

Somewhere along my own journey, I realized that one of the greatest gifts we can give another person is simply to let them know they don't have to carry their story alone. That realization became the heart behind Our Grief Connection and the reason I chose to become a grief coach.

I know how lonely grief can be. You don't have to carry it alone.

You deserve a space to grieve in your own way, without judgment or expectations. That's what I hope to offer. There is something incredibly powerful about telling your story and realizing you're not the only one who feels this way.

If you're wondering whether it's possible to live a full and meaningful life while carrying the pain of your loss, I believe the answer is yes. It’s hard, it requires us to be honest and to do the work, but we can get there!

Through my own journey, I've learned that grief doesn't simply go away, and joy doesn't replace grief. Instead, they learn to exist together. Over time, our capacity to carry both begins to grow.

I'd be honored to walk beside you as you find your footing again and discover that joy still has a place in your life.

Common Questions

These are just some of the questions you may have, you may have more and I always welcome those questions. I want you to feel safe and supported in every way.

What is grief coaching?
Grief coaching offers support, guidance, and compassionate conversation as you navigate life after loss. It is a space to process your grief, feel less alone, and learn how to carry both your pain and your life forward.
Is this therapy?
No. Grief coaching is not therapy or mental health treatment. It is supportive guidance and community-based care designed to help you process grief, feel connected, and move through life with greater understanding and support.
What kinds of loss do you support?
Grief can come from many experiences, including the death of a loved one, divorce, estrangement, health challenges, life transitions, or other significant losses. If it matters deeply to you, it matters here.
Will I be expected to share my story?
Sharing is always invited, never required. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels safest and most comfortable for you.
Do I need to be at a certain stage in my grief to join?
Not at all. There is no “right” timeline for grief. Whether your loss is recent or many years old, you are welcome here exactly as you are.
Is it possible to feel joy again after loss?
Yes. Not in a way that replaces your grief or minimizes your loss, but in a way that allows life to slowly hold both. Part of this work is learning that grief and joy can exist together.
